The Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) today held a ceremony to honour the third intake of the FDPM Fellowship (2017-2018).
During the ceremony, His Excellency Shaikh Salman Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of the OFDPM, said the Fellowship embodies His Majesty King Hamad’s vision of placing Bahraini youth at the heart of the Kingdom’s development, and continues to see an ever-increasing level of interest and support from across government.
His Excellency commended the Fellows for their enthusiasm, creativity, and innovative thinking throughout the year-long programme, which saw them attend Government Executive Committee meetings, visit many public and private entities, and explore a wide range of government-related issues.
His Excellency added that under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the Fellowship continues to meet its core objective of further enhancing the national workforce skills by providing Bahrain’s brightest talent with learning experiences and opportunities.
His Excelency conveyed HRH the Crown Prince’s appreciation to all government entities participating at the Fellowship, and to the families of those selected for their unwavering support.
His Excellency concluded by welcoming the fourth intake of the Fellowship (2018-2019), noting that the new Fellows were about to embark on an invaluable experience that will provide them with a strong foundation to contribute to the work of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, The Prime Minister.
On behalf of the Fellows, Captain Marzouk Abdel Karim Salem of the Ministry of the Interior delivered a speech in which he expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for his ongoing support to the programme. Captain Salem said that the programme had provided the Fellows with a unique development opportunity that has strengthened their ability to contribute to Bahrain’s development.
