As part of Bahrain’s National Sports Day, which is a directive of the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, staff from the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister (OFDPM) today took park in a sporting event at the Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd.
Speaking about the importance of National Sports Day, the Director General of the OFDPM, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, highlighted that physical activity plays a crucial role in supporting health and wellbeing across Bahrain, whilst emphasising the importance of promoting a sporting culture within Bahraini society.
His Excellency went on to note His Royal Highness the Crown Prince’s continued commitment to further enhancing performance and productivity within the Kingdom, which are promoted by initiatives such as the National Sports Day.
His Excellency praised the efforts of His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in supporting Bahrain’s sporting culture and promoting new youth initiatives.
The OFDPM Director General also expressed his gratitude to the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports for its role in organising various events to mark National Sports Day, and to all OFDPM staff for their participation.
