His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today received the owners of the 12 projects that qualified for the final stage of the Government Innovation Competition ‘Fikra’.
HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that the implementation of innovation-driven development strategies reinforces public service delivery excellence and efficient productivity, in line with the aspirations of HM King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince noted that introducing unique programmes, which unleash the potential of public sector employees, build and expand on Team Bahrain’s remarkable achievements.
HRH the Crown Prince stressed that the implementation of the innovations will be prioritised, and will further optimise public service delivery and increase customer satisfaction levels.
HRH the Crown Prince extended his best wishes for the winners’ success and thanked all who contributed to the success of the initiative.
For their part, the winners expressed their gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince for allowing them the opportunity to develop their breakthrough innovations.
Later, the winners presented their innovations to the Government Executive Committee, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince.
Winners who were selected following a multi-tiered evaluation process are:
1. First Lieutenant Alia Al-Qahtani from Customs Affairs at the Ministry of Interior and Nouf Al-Qahtani from the Ministry of Youth and Sports - “EParkBH - Replacement of parking metres with an application”
2. Eman Al-Sammak and Ebtihal Al-Shihabi from the Labour Market Regulatory Authority - “Virtual Employment Centre”
3. Ahmed Alaraifi from the Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister - “Mahakim Platform”
